The purpose of a seance is to communicate with deceased loved ones (Cowan, 1994). This can be done with the help of your spirit guides by creating a safe environment, choosing the right people, and preparing carefully. Conducting a seance is not a game and, if done properly, it can be very rewarding.
Learning to Contact Your Spirit Guides
Simply put, your spirit guides are your personal helpers from the spirit realm (Eynden, 2008). Working through your spirit guides is an integral part of the seance procedure as they will be your contact between your seance group and the deceased loved one you are trying to reach. It is easiest if you know your guides by name, so before you attempt to set up a seance, you will want to get to know your guides through pendulum dowsing, then you can call them by name and speak to them any time you wish.
Choosing the Participants
A seance can be done with as few as three people or as many as six people. You should be discerning in those whom you choose to participate. You do not want someone who will not take the seance seriously or a person who screams at the slightest unusual happening.
